No audio in Ethos 1.5?

 No voices?










Audio locations have changed to support the new multi-voice system


For a radio set to English, your voices will now live in folders in /audio/en


So for a basic voice names ‘us’, your custom audio files are in /audio/en/us and your system sounds are in /audio/en/us/system


You need to assign voices in System->General as well, at least your default

create a folder in /audio/en called ‘us’


Then copy your system folder (/audio/en/system) into the ‘us’ folder


Then copy all your files in /audio to /audio/en/us


Then go to System->General and set your main voice to ‘us’

Build model in Ethos Simulator, move to your radio.

Today we're working on two great things. The first is the question I get all, the time, and I do mean all the time. Can I make a model in Ethos Simuator and move it to my radio? Sure thing! I know this is going to make a lot of people very happy. You will need to make sure that your transmitter and Ethos Simulator are on the same version. If they're not, it may not work. So, what are we looking at here? I named the file FM DEMO in the transmitter. But at the bottom it's also called fm demo.bin.  In case you didn't catch it, it's lower case only.   This is the file we'll need to search for! What you can do to save time is in Windows, go to File Explorer (Windows Key + F) go to the C drive, users, find your name or the account you use, and then enter the following information. C:\Users\<user name>.  You'll want to go here to save some time, otherwise if you search your entire C drive you'll look through many thousands of windows file...

FrSky Tandem X18SE vs. X20S

 Today's question comes from Matt Baccari, a FrSky Sponsored pilot "Hey Steve.  What are the akin differences between the x18se and the x20s ? I get this all the time.    Is there a reason you would def want one over the other? Are they both still in production ?     Gimbals? Buttons?" Let's get the easy one out of the way, yes, both are still in production. The X18 came out after the  X20/X20S was introduced. The X18S followed, and an enhanced version of the that S model became the X18SE.  The X18SE comes in the colors black, blue and for a $20 upcharge cardinal red. I did check, the X18S is no longer in production. Let me clear up a couple things right away.  The X18 and X20 both are 24 channels.
